EFI and Equitrac Announce Solution Integration for Professional Firms
Press release from the issuing company
FOSTER CITY, Calif. and PLANTATION, Fla., March 7 -- EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, and Equitrac, the leading provider of automated document accounting solutions for the professional, enterprise and education markets, today announced the integration of the companies' scan and cost recovery solutions to create a new, powerful, end-to-end document capture, distribution and accounting solution for legal and other professional firms. Now available and at no charge, the Equitrac Professional Connector integrates SendMe(TM), EFI's document capture and distribution solution, with the Equitrac Professional and Equitrac Professional Enterprise Edition document accounting solutions to make complete scan tracking and cost recovery functionality available in a single, integrated solution.
EFI SendMe enables improved information sharing between professional firms and their clients. SendMe allows users to scan pages in full color, grayscale or black-and-white, and preview the digital files as thumbnails or full-page images in PDF, TIFF or JPG format using a large, intuitive touch-screen interface. Documents are immediately available via e-mail, ftp, online repository or through a fax server, and the delivery capabilities of SendMe offer significant cost savings compared to traditional delivery methods. SendMe includes Digital Bates Stamping to help Legal professionals track critical case documents.
Equitrac Professional Suites enable distributed cost recovery functionality for professionals using SendMe digital document delivery. The integration of the Equitrac Professional suites and SendMe provides tremendous value particularly for professional firms, such as law offices, advertising, public relations and other consultancies, that bill back costs associated with SendMe to the clients on whose behalf they are incurred.
Equitrac Professional allows firms to consolidate and issue reports based on exact SendMe usage for specific clients, and ultimately recover costs. Equitrac Professional maximizes cost recovery functionality by matching client billing codes to the appropriate transaction data. When the staff member finishes a SendMe transaction, the record with the related billing codes is transferred to the Equitrac's software, where all data is matched and made available for reporting and exporting to the billing package.
"The speed and efficiency of SendMe digital document delivery helps professional firms keep a competitive edge in today's exceedingly fast-paced business environment," said Frank Mallozzi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, EFI. "And we've integrated our solution with Equitrac Professional to further increase the value we bring to that customer base, helping professionals seamlessly bill back to clients to recover costs. We look forward to further collaboration with Equitrac as EFI expands the SendMe line to address the needs of other target markets."
"Professional firms will find a boon in the integration of SendMe and Equitrac Professional Suites as they endeavor to minimize expenses and maximize profits," added Chris Wyszkowski, Vice President of Technical Marketing, Equitrac. "SendMe allows them to quickly and efficiently deliver critical documents while Equitrac Professional helps them recover expenses particular to that delivery. Our work with EFI has produced great results and we, too, look forward to more joint efforts."
