Pitney Bowes Elects Corporate Officers

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 15 -- The Board of Directors of Pitney Bowes Inc. announced that it has elected: Steven J. Green to the office of Vice President -- Finance and Chief Accounting Officer; Dessa Bokides to the office of Vice President -- Finance and Treasurer; and, Arun Sinha to the office of Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. All three will report to Bruce Nolop, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Green will also have a dotted line reporting relationship to Murray Martin, President and Chief Operating Officer. These appointments support the company's evolution for growth according to Mr. Nolop, "All three of these individuals lead functional areas that are vital to achieving our growth strategies. Steve's election reflects his knowledge of accounting, controls, and operations, which will be key drivers of his success in this newly created role. He will help us strengthen our financial controls, create more standardization in our financial measures, and bring more cohesion to our enterprise-wide finance organization. Dessa's new title reflects her leadership capabilities in treasury, financial planning, and capital investments and her expanded responsibilities, including the recent addition of enterprise risk management. Arun's election reflects his work in leading the redefinition of our brand and championing its importance both inside and outside of the company. His comprehensive marketing programs have helped to enhance our value proposition and underscore our commitment to customer relationships." As Vice President -- Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, Mr. Green will provide centralized oversight of the accounting and control functions of the Company, as well as the financial and operational aspects of all of the business units. He joined Pitney Bowes in 1987 and held a series of positions with increasing responsibility, including Vice President -- Controller, and most recently Vice President -- Finance and Administration for Global Mailstream Solutions. He is a CPA and was a Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse prior to joining the company. Ms. Bokides joined Pitney Bowes in 2001 in the office of Vice President and Treasurer. In addition to the newly added risk management responsibilities, her portfolio includes treasury operations, corporate financial planning and analysis, pension investments, capital investments, and real estate and administration. Prior to joining Pitney Bowes Ms. Bokides was Managing Director and Global Head of the Rating Advisory and Capital Strategy Group at Deutsche Bank Securities. She also worked at Goldman Sachs for nine years, where she headed the credit committee for fixed-income underwritings, served on the steering committee responsible for firm-wide risk-based policies and strategies, and advised companies on ratings issues. Mr. Sinha has been Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Pitney Bowes Inc. since joining the company in 2001. His current responsibilities include integrated marketing communications, brand management, public relations, events, web strategy and development, and marketing research worldwide. He built a marketing function at the corporate level and launched the company's well-received integrated marketing campaign in 2002. He was also the President of Services & Solutions for Pitney Bowes Management Services during 2004. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Sinha was founder and CEO of Agorux Inc., a company that provided supply-chain management software solutions, and he held key positions in marketing, business development and brand management at Philip Morris USA and Young and Rubicam. Mr. Sinha was awarded "Marketer of the Year" in 2003 and 2004 by B-to-B magazine.
