Printable Technologies Joins Canon USA's Marketing Alliance Program

Press release from the issuing company

SOLANA BEACH, Calif.--Feb. 7, 2005-- Printable Technologies, Inc., today announced it has entered into an agreement for marketing its PrintFusion3(TM) workflow solution through Canon U.S.A.'s Imaging Systems Group (ISG) Alliance and Industry Marketing (AIM) program. The Printable solution is a web-based application that streamlines the production of customized color and variable data print jobs. It provides customers with the ability to automate the printing process for static, versioned, and variable data pieces. A workflow that combines PrintFusion3 and Canon CLC devices provides an effective solution for receiving, processing, and delivering clients' variable data print jobs in digital color. The solution is targeted towards commercial printers, retail/quick prints, corporate in-plants and CRD environments. "With PrintFusion3 and the PrintOne Customer Center, Printable provides printers and corporate enterprises with the tools and services they need to easily provide their internal and external customers with real-time business communication applications," said Joe Manos, vice president, Printable Technologies. "By marketing Printable's solution through the Canon U.S.A. Alliance and Industry Marketing program and distribution network, we are able to present our solution to those who would find it most valuable to their workflow processes." "Printable's powerful yet easy-to-use PrintFusion3 software will benefit those commercial printers and corporate customers seeking to streamline their print order process and offer new services, such as variable data printing, to their clients," said Gregory Ryan, senior manager, Alliance and Industry Marketing for Canon U.S.A. "Because Canon's testing and certification process provides customers with independent reassurance that they are acquiring a solution that has been tested in conjunction with Canon devices, we are confident in the marketing of Printable's solution." The Printable solution, including PrintFusion3, has been successfully tested in conjunction with a Canon CLC and ColorPASS server by VeriTest, a leading provider of independent outsourced testing services. Accordingly, it has been designated by Canon U.S.A. as "Canon Compatible" under Canon U.S.A.'s Alliance Program. A report summarizing the test plan and results has been published at http://www.veritest.com/clients/reports/canon as a public validation of third party solution compatibility with Canon imageRUNNER, CLC and related Imaging Filing Systems products.
