In addition to the live demonstration, Hales will be on hand to sign limited edition prints of her painting of the show’s mascot “Booker T,” the American Bald eagle at the Printing Association of Florida’s booth, number 1113, on the Miami Beach Convention Center show floor. “We are privileged to have Jessica Lloyd Hales join us Graphics of the Americas for 2005,” said Chris Price, vice president and general manager of Graphics of the Americas. “Our attendees will find Ms. Hales’ unique and artistic gift of versatility both entertaining and enjoyable.” Jessica Lloyd Hales is a freelance artist and designer living in Alabama with her husband and three children. Jessica’s most recent work include designing textiles in New York City and Turkey, managing government textile contracts, illustrating a children’s book entitled “The Perfect Gift” and painting commissioned oil and watercolor paintings, one of which is hanging permanently in the Tower of London. She works on a variety of projects, including storyboards for the Law and Order television series and has painted in Greece, Italy and Croatia. Jessica recently spent time in Baghdad and has been commissioned to create a series of Baghdad paintings that will be printed on various products for the Coalition including the 2005 Baghdad calendar, posters, watches, T-shirts, etc. Jessica is also a frequent motivational speaker for all age groups entertaining the crowd with her “speed painting”—painting a mural with both hands while she speaks to the audience! She donates painting each year to fund raisers like Hospice, The American Heart Association and the local free clinic and her murals can be seen throughout the country in schools, churches and restaurants. One day she hopes to be an Ambassador for the United States. “I’m honored to participate in one of the industry’s most highly attended international events,” said Jessica Lloyd Hale. “As an artist and designer, the graphic arts and printing industry are import to me and I am more than happy to support an organization dedicated to it. In addition, I want to thank Smart Paper and the Printing Association of Florida for their sponsorship of the painting and limited edition “Booker T” prints.
