Begun to specifically honor printing companies that provide a superior work environment, the 2004 awards mark the fifth year of the Best Workplace in America program, and the fifth year that The Sheridan Press has been recognized. A panel of highly respected U.S. and Canadian HR professionals with decades of experience in the graphic arts industry found that the human relations practices of The Sheridan Press and their application on a day-to-day basis to be among the best in the country. All of the winning companies actively show their employees that they care about their work environment, their personal goals and ambitions, as well as the needs of the company. Two awards are bestowed by the judges: the Best Workplace in America to those who meet the judges’ specific criteria; and the “Best of the Best,” which are those companies with the very top ratings. “We are honored to be recognized by the industry as a company with an outstanding workplace.
