Storage And IT Veteran Joins Exanet As New Ceo

NEW YORK, JANUARY 17, 2005 —Exanet, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance, prize-winning, clustered NAS grid storage solutions,is pleased to announce that storage and IT veteran Rami Schwartz has joined Exanet as CEO. “With ExaStore’s prize-winning, record-breaking performance technology and Exanet’s successful penetration into world markets, I look forward to leading Exanet in pursuit of increasing its market share in enterprise storage markets,” Schwartz said. Schwartz previously served as vice president and general manager of the APM (Application Performance Management) business unit at Veritas. Under his leadership sales grew annually by over 50% year to year. Prior to Veritas, Schwartz held the position of executive vice president and general manager of Precise Israel and was a vice president at Amdocs. Before Amdocs, Schwartz ran one of the largest defense-related IT organizations in Israel. “Rami’s extensive background in storage and IT makes him the ideal leader to take Exanet's prize-winning products into enterprise markets, leveraging the superiority of Exanet's grid storage solution and worldwide customer base," said Dr. Giora Yaron, Exanet’s chairman. "Rami's international experience in world markets is key to Exanet's success as the company broadens its global reach." Schwartz takes over the CEO position from Yaron, who served previously as both chairman and CEO. Yaron will continue in his role as chairman.
