Polkadots Releases Rasterize-it RIP Version 6.4

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada – January 12, 2005 – Polkadots Software Inc., a leading prepress workflow developer, specializing in database driven workflow automation for Harlequin RIP technology, announces that it is releasing the latest version of Rasterize-it 6.4. Rasterize-it 6.4, Polkadots’ OEM version of Harlequin RIP now offers “Try Before You Buy”, the ability to try any RIP option absolutely free for a limited period but without any limit to functionality or performance.  Also available in this version is the optional JDF module supporting JDF 1.2 and the ability to communicate with other JDF aware applications “Many clients ask about RIP options such as TrapPro or HDS and want to be able to evaluate if the option is right for their specific requirements.” Says Robert Dumas, Polkadots, “With the ability to enable RIP options for a limited trial period, our customers can be certain that they are getting the features that are right for them without any unnecessary expenses.” When Rasterize-it 6.4 is part of a PrePage-it Workflow users will also have the option to automatically create impositions based on JDF templates saved from third-party applications as well as accept JDF imposition data of manually imposed PrePage-it files. The PrePage-it Workflow Solution is a plug and play, database driven solution built upon Global Graphics’ Harlequin RIP technology. PrePage-it allows users to print from any popular Macintosh or Windows applications and RIP pages up-front, saving time and detecting potential problems early in the process. It includes a wealth of compression, automation, proofing, organization and imposition functionalities. PrePage-it will be demonstrated live at Graphics of the Americas in Miami from February 4 to 6 on the Polkadots booth #353 as well as the Global Pre-Press Systems booth #463.
