SANTA ANA, California – 20 December 2004 – Markzware Software, the leading developer of quality control and workflow solutions for the global graphic arts and printing industries, is pleased to announce its "StayReady" program, designed to help former users of the Extensis PrintReady online preflight service, transition to its FlightCheck Online solution.
Recent information from Extensis indicates PrintReady will go offline on December 31, 2004. "The PrintReady service is a very capable solution that printers, publishers and their customers have grown accustomed to using," explains Patrick Marchese, president of Markzware. "We developed the StayReady program to help PrintReady users become familiar with the even more powerful FlightCheck Online. We want to ensure that they are able to transition easily to our solution and continue using the Internet to preflight and transmit digital content files to their suppliers and business partners." With the StayReady program, Markzware provides tools, consultation and installation through it's Markzware Authorized Solution Providers in the USA and Europe.
FlightCheck Online is a client-server solution that allows printers, publishers and other service providers to preflight their customers' print jobs and submissions remotely, from the customers' desktop, using their own custom checking rules. FlightCheck Online provides the print customer with on-screen tips to resolve prepress issues detected by the preflight process. Then, the solution will collect, compress and sent all the required elements--fonts, images, etc.--to the service provider via File Transfer Protocol (FTP). FlightCheck Online supports PDF and over 40 Desktop Publishing and graphic file types.
FlightCheck Online is available as a locally installed server or as a hosted, subscription-based solution. For more information about FlightCheck Online, program details and locations of Markzware Authorized Solution Providers, visit Markzware's Web site: http://www.markzware.com/fconline/.
