Press release from the issuing company
NEW YORK, Dec. 6 -- Bowne Financial Print, the world's largest financial printer, leading EDGAR filer and a division of Bowne & Co., Inc., today announced availability of a new edition of its very popular book, EDGAR in a Nutshell: A Guide to Electronic Filing, as well as its recently published 2005 EDGAR/SEDAR Calendar that details significant SEC and SEDAR filing deadlines.
EDGAR in a Nutshell provides an overview of the EDGAR filing process, including basic filing issues, filing formats and procedures, filing fees, test and live filings, and exemptions. It includes updates on specific filings and documents, highlights special problems related to graphics and images, and offers EDGAR tips for successful filings. This edition contains new information on such items as revised electronic filing procedures, how to obtain EDGAR access codes, who may file Form ID, making filings on EDGAR, and Section 16 filing information.
"EDGAR and SEDAR filing procedures and rules continue to evolve, so this book is a timely tool for anyone involved in the electronic filing of compliance forms with the SEC in the U.S. and with the SEDAR system in Canada," said David T. Copenhafer, Director of EDGAR Services, Bowne & Co., who updated this issue of the book.
This year's EDGAR/SEDAR calendar highlights filing dates for accelerated and non-accelerated filers. Each month features a scenic cityscape from one of Bowne's more than 100 offices/affiliates worldwide.
"Publication of the newly updated EDGAR in a Nutshell book and our annual EDGAR/SEDAR calendar continue Bowne's commitment to maintaining and advancing our industry leadership in bringing Bowne clients an array of securities-related resources and tools," said John Batt, Vice President of Marketing for Bowne Financial Print.
"Our other publications, such as the recent edition of the Initial Public Offering Guidebook and our soon-to-be-released Preparing For Your 2005 Annual Meeting handbook, as well as SecuritiesConnect(TM), our industry-leading, Web-based resource for securities and compliance-related information, all combine to offer our clients not only the up-to-date securities and regulatory news they need, but the kind of interpretation, insight and analysis that gives them the critical perspective they need," Batt added.
