XMPie PersonalEffect Software Fuels Creative Partnership Between Yoffi and Trekk

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 -- XMPie(R), provider of award-winning PersonalEffect(TM) software for dynamic publishing, is powering the new breed of partnership between commercial digital printer Yoffi Digital Press and full-service marketing and communications agency Trekk Cross Media. Yoffi and Trekk are using PersonalEffect to develop, manage and produce highly personalized, design-centric variable data campaigns for their customers. "PersonalEffect empowers us to design with variability in mind," said Stefan Agustsson, partner at Yoffi. "Other solutions force you to compromise your design or data use because you have to use their tools. With XMPie, we have none of these limitations because we work in our native environments using off-the-shelf software. This liberates our creativity, opening up unlimited ways to express ideas and use data effectively for our customers." Yoffi and Trekk have found great campaign development efficiencies by working on the business rules, data and design in parallel using uPlan(TM), uCreate(TM) and uProduce(TM). This has helped them to cut turnaround time on jobs from three to five weeks in the past to just three to five days. Moreover, XMPie software allows them to use sophisticated rule definitions and data connectivity to avoid tedious data pre-processing and gain production efficiencies. "XMPie allows us to visually review the final output before going to press and make changes to the business rules on the fly without having to redo design work. By using XMPie's desktop environment, we can alter the design, the business rules or the database of a campaign and then quickly review and revise them to complete campaigns faster than before." In a recent project, Yoffi and Trekk created a promotion for a manufacturer of hiking boots sold exclusively through a major U.S. retailer. The partners developed a direct mail campaign utilizing variable data to personalize the offering to each customer and to generate a customized map showing the best route from the customer's home to the nearest retail store. The campaign has been very successful, yielding better than four times the response rate of a typical direct marketing campaign. As a result, the boots were the best selling shoe at the retail locations in the week following the mailing. Faster turnaround times, better personalization, lower costs and greater creativity have given Yoffi and Trekk a competitive edge. According to Agustsson, "We now sell solutions to our customers, not just print or design services. XMPie has enabled us to solve problems and create campaigns other printers and designers cannot even come close to providing."
