Minneapolis, MN (November 11, 2004) -- CGS Publishing Technologies International LLC has appointed Bruce Brown as Technical Director for its US operations. A former technology director for Quebecor/Schaumburg and H&S Graphics, Brown will manage the company’s growing technical support and training efforts, including the ORIS Certified Training program launched in July. “Bruce has been a leading proponent of ORIS technology over the years, and has been instrumental in helping us fine tune the product,” said CGS President Trevor Haworth. “His skills and insights were key elements in our success at Quebecor and elsewhere. Naturally, we’re pleased that he is on the team. He will be invaluable in maintaining CGS’ rapid growth in the proofing and workflow markets.” Brown, a graduate of the College of DuPage, was a product support specialist for Hell Graphic Systems before joining Quebecor in 1990, where he managed the transition from a proprietary CEPS environment to open, PostScript-based prepress systems.
