GMG Demonstrates Significant Commitment To International Markets

Press release from the issuing company

Tuebingen, Germany (November 8th 2004) – GMG, developers and marketers of high end color management and proofing solutions, announces today that it will open an international office in Benelux, where sales, support, training, marketing and communications operations will be centralized for the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg), Scandinavia, Middle East and Africa. Jo Maessen has been appointed area manager to lead business development into these market regions. “Jo Maessen is an experienced professional who has worked in the graphic arts industry for over fifteen years. With manufacturing and distribution experience for companies such as EFI-Best, PerfectProof, Epson, HP, Jo brings excellent market know-how and is an ideal person for this task. Our team is fortunate to obtain someone with his skills. We look forward to successfully building another subsidiary dedicated to a local market,” says Jawdatt Mawassii, Vice President Sales and Business Development at GMG. “This is a further step of localization based on our strategy to extend the excellent reputation GMG has in many European countries to a global stage.” Mawassii, who considers worldwide growth via specialized market presence a key factor for success, has established five GMG subsidiaries – in Asia, France, Spain, UK and the U.S. – since mid 2003. “I am excited to play a part in GMG’s expansion process,“ says Jo Maessen. “GMG is renowned for its unique color management, proofing and color conversion solutions. Its software is in use by the world’s leading printers, publishers and converters. However, local presence in terms of communications and training, service and support is essential for success. GMG’s ongoing product diversification, localization and scalability are basic elements that will strengthen this expansion. Our first tasks are to establish sales channels in the various countries. For example, we are now beginning to organize a professional dealer channel in the Benelux. Distribution and/or dealer networks will follow soon in the other regions.” Although it will take one or two months before the Benelux office is completely operational, Jo Maessen has already begun the process of developing GMG distribution and dealer channels.
