Press release from the issuing company
November 9, 2004 -- The San Antonio News Express has announced that it will be hosting the 37th Metro Users Group Conference, to be held at the Westin-La Cantera Resort in San Antonio from Saturday, February 19 through Wednesday, February 23, 2005.
Following the unqualified success of this year’s Conference in Houston, which hosted 325 newspaper production delegates, the Goss Metro Users Group urges members to register for the 2005 event as early as possible.
With a program that includes cost-saving and revenue-enhancing ideas, Goss International technology updates, breakout sessions and a tour of the San Antonio News Express plant, as well as the annual Metro Users Golf Tournament, the 37th Conference promises to be the essential information gathering and networking opportunity of 2005.
Larry Appleby, President of the Metro Users Group comments, "The Metro Users Group is the largest newspaper printing press users’ organization in the world, and our annual meeting provides a unique forum for the free and candid exchange of information, ideas, questions, problem-solving techniques, and networking opportunities. With over 325 delegates from the United States, Canada, Latin America, and as far away as Singapore, last year’s Conference was an outstanding success.
"We anticipate the same success for the 37th Conference in San Antonio and are looking forward to hearing the ideas and opinions of our members that will serve to benefit the newspaper publishing industry as a whole."
