Ricoh Enhances Wide Format Devices with New Driver Compatibility

Press release from the issuing company

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Nov. 8 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced its agreement with Bentley Systems, Incorporated, to develop printer drivers that enhance Ricoh's wide format devices to meet the specific needs of the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. Bentley's wide format output device printer drivers now support the Ricoh Aficio 470W and the Ricoh Aficio 240W. As a part of its ProjectWise line of server products, Bentley offers a variety of drivers for printing AEC plan sets to wide format printers. The drivers are stand-alone products specifically developed for printing complex engineering drawings and high-density raster files, thereby providing options for improving the performance of new or existing enterprise-wide printing systems. Bentley device drivers are completely integrated with the Microsoft Windows printing system and can be valuable additions to existing plotting systems. Drivers are packaged together in driver packs, each of which contains a selection of drivers that support printers of similar capacity and image characteristics. The driver for the Ricoh Aficio 470W, a mid volume device, is packaged in the InterPlot Mid-volume Driver Pack. The Ricoh Aficio 240W driver is delivered as part of the InterPlot Driver Pack.
