Multi-Color Wins Two Awards From the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute

Press release from the issuing company

CINCINNATI, Nov. 4 -- Multi-Color Corporation has been honored by the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (TLMI) with two printing awards. The annual competition is designed to recognize exceptional tags and labels within the packaging and converting industries of North America. Winning first place in the competition was a pressure sensitive Dawn Complete label, honored for its Excellence in Technical Achievement through the printing of multiple processes. The labels are printed at Multi-Color's Batavia, OH facility, utilizing both flexographic and screen technologies. Adorned with two cold foil applications, the eye-popping labels have both a silver foil and a holographic foil. The revolutionary Folgers AromaSeal(TM) label received honorable mention within the prime gravure category of the competition. Gravure printed at Multi-Color's Framingham, MA plant, these heat transfer labels are decorated in one pass onto three separate panels. Because heat transfer labels (HTL) are designed to react to increased temperatures, the labels are applied directly from the mold. Awards were presented at the TLMI annual meeting, during a reception dinner held October 26, 2004. TLMI first place award winners are automatically entered into the World Label Award Competition.
