Ghent (Belgium), October, 2004 - At the occasion of LabelExpo 2004, nearly 600 suppliers, converters, trade associations and media came together at The Label Industry Global Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner. The worldwide label industry voted online for individuals and companies to win the Awards – and a Judging Panel met in Chicago in July to review the extensive list of nominations for each of the three awards, and decide the final Nominees and Winners. Esko-Graphics was highly commended by the Judging Panel. They commented: “Although Esko Graphics is a relatively new name to the label industry, the individual companies from which is has been created – Barco and Purup – have been innovating and developing the world of digital label pre-press since the early 1980s, making a major contribution to the way that labels are now designed and imaged, and to the consistently high quality results achieved in label printing today.”
