IKON Adds Notable Solutions AutoStore to Document Solutions Portfolio

Press release from the issuing company

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--Nov. 2, 2004-- Continuing to unveil best-in-class technologies available within its portfolio of end-to-end document management solutions, IKON Office Solutions, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, today announced a new strategic relationship with a leader in distributed document capture and workflow middleware technology, Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi). Through this relationship, NSi's award-winning AutoStore(TM) framework will be integrated into IKON's document management solutions, providing customers with a proven, rules-based solution for capturing, processing and routing content to a wide variety of business applications - capable of significantly improving business process efficiency. "Recognizing that no two office environments are the same, the versatility and flexibility of NSi AutoStore make it an invaluable tool in the management phase of the document lifecycle," stated Michael Kohlsdorf, Senior Vice President of IKON Enterprise Services - IKON's global services organization. "AutoStore's built-in integration with equipment from leading manufacturers, combined with its universal distributed capture capabilities and modular nature, exemplifies the goal of IKON's integrated solutions portfolio, enabling our service and sales professionals to go beyond standard document strategies and develop customized, high value solutions for our customers." By providing simple, structured document routing workflows, NSi AutoStore allows companies to concentrate on processing information rather than routing information. The flexible, device-independent nature of AutoStore enables a solution that is not only supported by most leading hardware vendors, but also allows for devices to be added or removed while retaining document and business workflows. Driving greater efficiencies, AutoStore captures both hardcopy and electronic documents through an array of devices, including MFPs, digital copiers, e-mail, desktops, wireless and fax. Captured documents are then processed through a variety of image and document transformations, such as optical character recognition (OCR), bar code reading and forms recognition. These transformed documents can then be routed into numerous content repositories or business applications, databases and e-mail systems. "AutoStore is at the forefront of intelligent capturing, processing and routing solutions for the corporate office environment," said Ali Tehranchi, President and Founder of NSi. "As a recognized best-in-class offering in IKON's integrated document solutions portfolio, NSi looks forward to working with IKON to continue helping companies optimize document workflows and improve business processes."
