LIVONIA, Mich., Oct. 25 -- Valassis, the leading marketing services company specializing Connective Media, announced today that it was chosen as one of Metropolitan Detroit's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For. For the second time, Valassis has been recognized by the Michigan Business and Professional Association as one of Metropolitan Detroit's best places to work. Awards were presented at a ceremony on Oct. 20th. There were 800 entries in the 2004 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work for contest.
Companies were judged based on work-life balance, employee communication and recognition, compensation and benefits, education and development, recruitment, employee motivation, community initiatives, diversity and strategic planning. All winning companies share the commonality of recognizing their employees as their greatest assets and working with imagination and assurance to create organizational value and business results through their employees.
Valassis was previously named to the list in 2002.
