C&B Graphics Purchases Mitsubishi Double Diamond Perfector

Press release from the issuing company

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — C&B Graphics Inc., a 6-year-old general commercial printer in Pennsauken, N.J., announced the purchase of a new Mitsubishi Diamond 3000R convertible sheetfed perfector with double coaters. The eight-color, 40-inch press, known as the Double Diamond, is equipped with inline coaters before and after the perfecting unit. This configuration enables the press to print and coat both sides of the sheet in a single pass. The Double Diamond is capable of producing a wide range of multicolor products at speeds up to 11,000 sheets per hour in the perfecting mode or 13,000 sheets per hour in straight printing mode. In the perfecting mode, the press can print different stock up to 12 points. When converted to straight printing, it easily handles paper, board and specialty substrates up to a thickness of .024 inches. The first tower coater passes the sheet to a cylinder extension, which then transfers the dry sheet to the reversing unit. Once the sheet goes through the perfecting unit, the inking and coating processes are repeated. The results: improved pressroom productivity and superior finished products in commercial, packaging and specialty printing. C&B Graphics was founded in 1998. The privately owned firm provides complete prepress, printing and binding services. It serves clients in the Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania regions. C&B Graphics prints a wide range of commercial products, including magazines, professional guides, brochures and marketing materials. The Double Diamond is the company's third Mitsubishi press. C&B Graphics also operates two 40-inch Mitsubishi straight presses — a six-color and an eight-color.
