Creo Customers Sweep The Benny Awards

GRAPH EXPO 2004 CHICAGO -- October 15, 2004 -- According to Creo Inc. the business value of Creo solutions has never been demonstrated so powerfully as it was at this year's Premier Print awards, where Creo customers were honored from amongst thousands of entries from North, Central, and South America, Asia, Europe and the Pacific Rim. At the Premier Print gala, held in conjunction with the Graph Expo trade show, approximately 70 percent of the 90 'Bennies' or Best of Category awards, went to users of Creo thermal computer-to-plate solutions, workflow, and/or Creo-Xerox digital print solutions. "Every year it seems that more Creo customers win a Benny, but this year's results are truly remarkable. Recognizing the Best Companies in Print... Every year, hundreds of printing companies from around the world enter their best work in the Premier Print Awards. Winning a Benjamin Franklin - or "Benny" - award tells customers and prospects that a company produces some of the finest print in the world today. Winners in Many Print Markets... Creo customers won awards for excellence in many print markets, using various print technologies. Commercial printers were well represented, as well as packaging printers and digital print-on-demand suppliers. "As print technologies diversify, Creo customers are leading the way, in waterless printing, for example, and in hybrid digital and offset printing," explained Mr. Michelson. "Each of these areas has been an emphasis at Creo, and it is satisfying to see the great results that our customers have achieved with these technologies. They are demonstrating some of the exciting directions in which our industry is headed." Multiple Award Winners... Williamson Printing Corp. of Dallas, was awarded a remarkable 15 Bennies; other multiple winners were C & C Offset of Portland, OR, with four Bennies; Offset Color of Iztapalapa, Mexico, with three; and double-Benny winners Rastar Digital Media (Salt Lake City), Graphic Press (Los Angeles), Metropolitan Press (Vancouver, Canada), Regal Printing (Hong Kong), and Scott Print (Perth, Australia). Begun in 1950 as the Graphics Arts Awards Competition, the Premier Print Awards program attracts entries from companies in the Americas - North, Central, and South, Asia, Europe and the Pacific Rim. Thousands of entries are scrutinized by a panel of judges. Winners can be awarded a Certificate of Merit, Award of Achievement, Best of Division, or a Benny.
