Rampage Systems and HIFLEX integrate production and MIS solutions
Press release from the issuing company
Rampage Systems, Booth 4466, Graph Expo ’04 – HIFLEX, a leader in the development and support of Management Information Systems for the printing industry, and Rampage Systems, a leader in prepress production systems, showed the integration of their respective solutions. The companies are sharing data using Job Messaging Format (JMF) adhering to the JDF standard.
HIFLEX offers a comprehensive suite of applications. As they relate to the Rampage JVX workflow system, customer and job-related data originates in the HIFLEX Estimating module and passes to Rampage JVX to initiate the production process. Rampage JVX incorporates trapping, proofing, screening, and other tasks related to plate production. To facilitate billing, costing, and job status tracking, Rampage JVX dynamically sends data to HIFLEX when, for example, a plate is output, a proof is imaged, and other significant transactions occur.
HIFLEX and Rampage Systems are both members of CIP4. Both companies will continue to work with other CIP4 members to integrate their systems using the JDF standard.
