Colter & Peterson To Display New Drupa Innovations At Graph Expo
Press release from the issuing company
Colter & Peterson’s exhibit at this year’s Graph Expo (Booth 800) will contain a number of new product and drupa innovations. The centerpiece of the display will be the New Baumann BASA automatic jogging system connected to a new generation of Wohlenberg pro-tec paper cutters. The patented Baumann BASA system is the first commercially available system that automates the tedious task of jogging material prior to cutting. First introduced at Baumann’s 25th anniversary celebration last fall, the BASA was then displayed at drupa. Baumann received a multiple of orders for BASA systems at drupa including two units for the United States.
The BASA system will be integrated inline with a new Wohlenberg pro-tec paper cutter. This new machine has an award winning user interface that replaces complex screens with simple graphics while incorporating a touch screen. The new generation of pro-tec paper cutters also offer
innovations including the ability to field install options such as the Wohlenberg ASE automatic waste removal system.
Colter & Peterson will display the Wohlenberg Quickbinder for the first time in the USA. This fully automatic perfect binder for short runs incorporates the same quality and features found on larger Wohlenberg perfect binders. The products produced on the Quickbinder will be trimmed on a Short Run Solutions automated three knife trimmer, which is being shown for the first time in the United States.
Graph Expo will also see the introduction of the new line of Prism perfect binders from JMD including three and four clamp models. The Microsystems division of C&P will introduce the microcut Basic retrofit as well as a revamped microcut Junior retrofit. Available for all sizes, makes and models of paper cutters, these two units as well as a microcut Plus retrofit will be shown on a reconditioned 47” Lawson MPU paper cutter.
Colter & Peterson will be displaying their Prism paper cutter with standard 8” liquid color screen as well as their latest generation of Saber paper cutters with 10” color touch screens and CIP3/4 compatibility. The C&P Amatco division will display their Acutrim three knife trimmer and a reconditioned Stahl three knife trimmer. Information will be available on Colter & Peterson’s paper cutter rebuilding program as well as its parts and service capabilities for most brands of paper cutters.
