Franklin Press Taps Into The Speed And Quality Of KPG's Newest DI Press

Press release from the issuing company

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA — Franklin Press, a commercial printer in Baton Rouge, La., recently installed the Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) DirectPress 5634 DI System to enhance image quality and meet customer demand for short run, high quality, four color printing. This marks the first installation in the United States for the KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System. “The KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System now gives us the capability of printing one to one million and anything in between,” said Ernie Seals, President, Franklin Press. “It nicely fills the gap between our other printing products. Since marketplace trends are leaning more and more toward short run color jobs, it was a natural fit for us.” The KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System combines industry leading image quality with the simplicity and automation of a DI Press. The KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System further enhances efficiency through the new Kodak Polychrome Graphics DirectWorks, KPG’s first workflow software. The DirectPress 5634 DI System supports 16-micron spot diameters for FM stochastic screening and also prints in high line AM and hybrid screening. Founded in 1922, Franklin Press serves a wide range of firms nationwide with direct mail, printing, data management and Internet solutions.
