Mark Andy Now Integrating Jetrion's New 3025 Inkjet System

ROSEMONT, IL, September 15, 2004 — Under an exclusive agreement with Jetrion LLC, a leading global provider of advanced products, services and specialized solutions for industrial inkjet applications, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flint Ink, Mark Andy, the world's number-one manufacturer of narrow web printing and converting equipment is integrating the new cutting edge, drop-on-demand (DOD) Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System into Mark Andy cassettes, for inclusion in Mark Andy's “Productivity Series” product line of flexographic printing and converting systems. The label industry's first North American presentation of the Jetrion 3025 unit integrated into Mark Andy Multi Process cassette systems is being shown during Labelexpo Americas 2004, at the Mark Andy exhibit booth (#319). Live demonstrations of the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System are also being shown throughout the day at Jetrion’s exhibit booth (#453). The Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System features breakthrough technology that delivers significantly more flexibility, higher quality and lower cost digital printing capability to the label market. It is the newest in Jetrion's extensive and expanding line of advanced, high-performance digital inkjet printing systems that are available now for the full spectrum of applications in every sector of the label industry. Under the agreement, Mark Andy has exclusive worldwide rights to market and sell the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System with new press installations in the narrow web label and package printing and converting markets. Mark Andy also is authorized to distribute the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System as retrofits on existing installed presses. Jetrion is providing a training program for Mark Andy employees who sell, service and support the Jetrion 3025 on Mark Andy products. The Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System prints on virtually any substrate with exceptional resolution at leading industry speeds. Using Jetrion’s Fast-Cure UV inks, the system is ideal for applications that require the placement of durable, abrasion-resistant images on the high-gloss and film materials used in labeling and flexible packaging. Starting at 2.4 inches (61 mm) with one printhead, and designed to incorporate multiple printheads for wider applications, the monochrome Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System delivers 316 dpi across, and up to 526 dpi in the process direction, at speeds up to 250 fpm (77 mpm) with UV inks, and up to 400 fpm (123 mpm) with solvent inks. With this combination of features, the Jetrion 3025 Inkjet System offers the flexibility of speed, print resolution and ink to meet the demands of the label and packaging markets. The highly reliable Jetrion 3025 was co-developed with Graph-Tech AG of Switzerland. Incorporated into the Jetrion 3025 is Graph-Tech’s proven MIC controller with image layout capabilities, simplifying production of variable codes and marks.The Jetrion 3025 also provides the lowest running cost of available DOD marking printheads, and is especially valuable for production applications that require higher quality bar-coding, numbering and variable messaging on printed products.
