CINCINNATI & ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Sept. 8, 2004-- PrintManagement has installed a Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press to offer customers faster turnaround times on print jobs, offset-like print quality, and personalization capabilities - where content and images vary from page to page. With the digital press the company expects to triple its digital color print volume within six months.
The printing and design company intends to produce jobs such as personalized newsletters, customized direct-mail pieces and short-run brochures, posters and marketing materials on the 100 page-per-minute digital press.
"It's amazing how quickly you can drive up the print volume on the iGen3," said Brian Frank, executive vice president, PrintManagement. "The press, combined with an all-digital workflow, gives us speed, quality and personalized printing capabilities that just aren't possible in an offset printing environment."
According to PrintManagement, the company became a digital printing leader in the southwest Ohio area when it purchased a Xerox DocuColor 6060 Digital Color Press in 2003, and it subsequently landed the digital printing contract for an existing client that had previously outsourced only its offset printing to PrintManagement. The company's reputation for digital printing grew along with its client list, prompting Frank and PrintManagement president Joe Desch to implement the latest digital technology.
The Xerox iGen3 allows the company to provide even faster turnaround on jobs, and the image quality meets the discriminating standards of new customer targets, such as advertising agencies. PrintManagement now has the capabilities to help clients mine marketing data and to produce complex personalized campaigns.
PrintManagement provides a Web-based Xerox solution so customers can enter personalized information and build customized documents through a template on a PrintManagement-hosted Web site. By using pre-approved marketing messages and images, clients can customize materials and have them quickly produced on the iGen3 press and shipped to a specific target. This system provides users with a single integrated system to create a Web storefront, receive orders, manage prints, track fulfillment and manage billing for print jobs.
A SmartPress Production Consultant, part of Xerox's customer business development team, worked on-site at PrintManagement to train operators and help the company take full advantage of the iGen3's revenue-generating capabilities.
PrintManagement provides digital and offset printing, graphic design capabilities, creative development, digital asset management, and mailing and fulfillment services.
