Schievelbein To Retire From Wausau-Mosinee Paper Corporation

MOSINEE, Wis.--Aug. 16, 2004-- Wausau-Mosinee Paper Corporation announced today that John J. (Jack) Schievelbein (61), Senior Vice President, Printing & Writing, will retire Aug. 31, 2004. "Wausau-Mosinee has benefited from Jack's exceptional leadership skills and marketing capabilities throughout his career with the company," said Thomas J. Howatt, president and CEO. "He led the growth and development of Mosinee Converted Products to its current position as the market-share and service leader for laminated roll wrap in North America, and he most recently led the company's Printing & Writing division, achieving market-share gains and new-product successes despite a difficult industry downturn. We thank Jack for his valuable contributions to the company's success and wish him well in retirement." Mr. Schievelbein joined Wausau-Mosinee in 1986 as Manager of Market Development for the Pulp and Paper Division and became Vice President & General Manager of Mosinee Converted Products in 1990. He was elected Senior Vice President, Printing & Writing, in 2000. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way. Wausau-Mosinee is currently conducting a search for a successor. Until one is named, Mr. Howatt will assume operational oversight of Printing & Writing.
