Screen Truepress Jet2500UV to be Demonstrated at SGIA

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (October 15, 2008) - The dictionary defines the word "grand" as meaning "large," "impressive" and "striking in scope or conception."

Printers attending SGIA '08 will see why Screen's Truepress Jet2500UV is every bit the grand-format UV inkjet printer. Demonstrations in booth #663 will underscore the truly impressive results that are possible printing on large-size media with striking images and color graphics.

Expanding the scope of inkjet printing
Screen is committed to creating a future in inkjet printing for sign/display printers, banner shops and specialty firms, as well as commercial printing companies seeking differentiation in unique production capabilities. The Truepress Jet2500UV affords companies a wider product portfolio to offer their clients. This exceptional inkjet system incorporates the latest digital printing technology to expand the quality, productivity and flexibility of inkjet printing.

Several features combine to deliver the high-quality, high-precision printing required for posters, backlit signs, point-of-purchase displays and other applications demanding superior image reproduction. The Truepress Jet2500UV supports a maximum output resolution of 1,500 dpi resolution. The eight-level grayscale printhead ensures consistent color printing on diverse substrates. Screen's screening technology enables smooth gradations.

Substrate versatility
Roll and rigid media transport systems are standard features of the Truepress Jet2500UV. An optional media feeder table increases the length of media that can be used. Printers can attract higher-margin projects using vinyl, canvas and synthetic fabrics, in addition to such rigid media as metal, wood and plastic.

Screen's UV-curable inks
The Truepress Jet2500UV prints with Screen's original flexible UV inks. Unlike standard UV printing inks, these inks do not crack when the printed piece is bent, so the Truepress Jet2500UV can be used to print on media that will be bent or stretched after being printed.

The vivid color reproduction with UV inks ensures eye-catching graphics. UV-curable inks also allow for greater durability, without lamination, of printed images. Furthermore, UV inks provide rapid, high-quality printing on poster board, wallpaper, textiles and many other types of coated and uncoated media.

Key features of the Truepress Jet2500UV:

    * Output speed up to 726.5 square feet per hour
    * Maximum output width of 98.4 inches
