Peake/DeLancey Printers Formed

August 5, 2004 -- Today, Peake Printers of Cheverly, MD and DeLancey Printing of Alexandria, VA have announced plans to form a new printing company, Peake/DeLancey Printers. Both companies are privately owned and are major players in the DC Metro and East coast regional markets. Merle DeLancey will serve as President and Jay Rupard will be the Chief Executive Officer of the new company. Peake/DeLancey will operate out of Peake’s modern 140,000 square foot facility in Cheverly, MD. Merle DeLancey, founder and President of DeLancey Printing, commented that “the combination of two powerhouse companies with such diverse capabilities will provide our customers with a stronger more competitive partner.” Jay Rupard, President of Peake Printers, commented that “the synergies of the combined company: union and commercial work, web and sheetfed printing, perfect binding, mailing and fulfillment services will be a perfect fit for our current customers and prospective accounts.” The projected opening for the combined operation is October 1, 2004.
