Press release from the issuing company

Minneapolis, MN (July 30, 2004) -- In response to the growing demand for its contract proofing technology, CGS Publishing Technologies International has implemented a nationwide network of color experts to supplement ORIS Color Tuner installation and training in the U.S. Both dealer-affiliated and independent color consultants have been screened and trained to handle the increasing volume of ORIS installations at commercial printers, publishers and print buyers. “Color Tuner sales have increased dramatically with the release of version 5,” said U.S. Sales Director Steve Pfeffer. “Our ORIS Certified trainers have greatly enhanced our support capabilities, allowing us be more responsive to customer needs, and providing CGS an avenue for future growth.” Many of the affiliated trainers will be involved in the implementation of CGS’ ORIS Global Proofing approach, announced at Drupa 2004. The trainers were selected for their experience with both digital workflow and color management expertise. The program will begin in the U.S., with planned expansion in other regions. ORIS Color Tuner is CGS’ comprehensive digital contract proofing system for inkjet devices from Canon, Epson and other manufacturers. The first such system to be SWOP certified, Color Tuner won the 2003 GATF InterTech Technology Award for innovation.
