January 07, 2004 — Jim Austin, marketing manager - North America, DuPont Imaging Technologies, receives the TLMI's Environmental Leadership Award from Calvin Frost, TLMI Environmental Committee Chair. DuPont Imaging Technologies and its DuPont CyrelFAST dry flexographic platemaking system recently received the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute's (TLMI) first Environmental Leadership Award. The award recognizes a variety of environmental achievements – such as new technology or process improvements – that contribute to sound environmental stewardship within the tag and label industry. CyrelFAST was selected for its innovative thermal processing technology that eliminates the need for solvents and other chemicals traditionally required to produce flexo plates. Flexography is a primary means of printing tags and labels worldwide.
