Press-sense announces the launch of iWay Prime Version 2.0
Press release from the issuing company
Caesarea, Dec. 18, 2003 – Press-sense Ltd, a leading producer of comprehensive Web-based workflow & management solutions for the printing industry, today launched iWay Prime Version 2.0, an off-the-shelf solution designed to transform the Print Provider, large or small, into a dynamic and profitable Print-On- Demand service provider.
In an age of increasing costs, lower profits and greater competition, iWay Prime 2.0 offers the Print Provider the means by which to reduce the overhead of traditionally low-margin Jobs as well as to simplify the ordering process and improve the quality of the supplied Jobs. In addition, iWay Prime Version 2.0 is already proving to be a major factor in reducing print errors, reprints and the interaction time with the Print Buyer, thereby allowing the Print Provider not only to meet the competition head-on but to lead the field.
“Over the past several years, the iWay Prime solution has established itself as the leading solution for the POD market. Our current customers are already experiencing more than doubled POD turnovers and increasing profit margins,” announced Press-sense CEO Shlomo ben David at a recent launch event in Europe. Ben David continued that, “our customers have informed us that ever increasing numbers of Jobs, including Jobs not traditionally recognized as POD, are “behaving” as POD Jobs and the need for a POD Process Management solution is increasing every day. With V2.0, we have continued to offer ‘value’ to our customers by enabling more powerful tools to manage the dynamic POD environment.”
The outcome of the research and development of iWay Prime V2.0 has been the development and improvement of management tools that are designed to simplify the creation of Print Jobs on the Print Buyer side while streamlining the workflow on the Print Provider side. By employing these management tools, both the Print Provider and the Print Buyer benefit from substantial savings in time and costs, while the connection between the two sides is significantly strengthened and enhanced.
iWay Prime Version 2.0 Highlights
Most important among the iWay Prime management tools are the VarData Express and the VarData Archive, which allow Print Buyers to work with and save Variable Information databases per template. With these tools, the Print Buyer can now initiate new Jobs that are based on files saved in the archive and then select the records that will complete the new Job.
