Message to T/R Systems Customers from EFI CEO Guy Gecht

Press release from the issuing company

December 5, 2003 - As you may know, EFI recently completed the acquisition of T/R Systems, Inc. This news is exciting on many fronts, but most importantly because of how it will positively impact our ability to serve you. The combination of EFI and T/R Systems will enhance the capabilities and reach of T/R Systems’ technology and services for all of its customers. Many of you are long-time loyal T/R customers and may be wondering what this acquisition means in terms of future product development. I want to assure you that we at EFI are very excited about adding T/R’s MicroPress and Digital StoreFront products to our lineup, and intend to continue supporting and enhancing both of these products. Our plans for MicroPress include enhancing the product line by adding new features, improving usability, adding connectivity to newer printers/copiers, as well as connectivity to EFI’s Velocity Balance load-balancing software and EFI’s Fiery server workflow. Together, these offerings will provide very comprehensive pre-RIP and post-RIP production solutions to our customers. We are also committed to selling and supporting the Digital StoreFront (DSF). We expect to add EFI components to DSF to improve functionality and provide added value to end users. In closing, we intend to continue investing in T/R Systems products and developing future scaleable, open and interoperable products that leverage your current investments by increasing efficiency and reducing overall costs. EFI’s unwavering commitment is to put customers first and that means helping you solve problems and increase profitability. We remain dedicated to bringing you world-class products and support, and earning the role as your partner of choice. Thank you for your support. Guy Gecht
