Heath PAK-TO-PAK Press Makes Forms Production Profitable
Press release from the issuing company
Auburn, WA, November 2003—The Heath PAK-TO-PAK press was designed specifically to fit the needs of printers producing continuous forms and laser checks. Jobs as small as 200 forms may be run profitably on the press, which can easily produce saleable product at the rate of $200 to $300 per hour.
Discussing the Heath PAK-TO-PAK press, Heath Custom Press president Mark Ristig commented: “The unique design of the Heath PAK-TO-PAK press, with its patented turret system, minimizes makeready time and drastically reduces downtime between jobs. Plate changes typically take only 30 seconds, thus maximizing the time the press is in revenue-producing production. Moreover, repeat lengths may be varied in less than a minute from 2 to 14 inches, in 1/60th inch increments; stock may be changed in 30 seconds or less.”
On the Heath PAK-TO-PAK press, continuous forms and laser checks may be produced in a single pass through the press, including offset, numbering and MICR encoding. Multiple part continuous forms can be collated and crimped in-line, to yield a finished product at press delivery. Laser checks and forms can be printed on pack paper, and then sheeted in-line to produce a finished product in one pass. The Heath PAK-TO-PAK press can print two offset colors, MICR and gothic number, crash imprint, cross and lineal perforate, collate, crimp, and refold or sheet in one pass, making it the most productive and versatile forms press available today.
For more than 25 years, Heath Custom Press Company has supplied check presses, forms presses, and related consumables to the printing industry. More than 65 million checks are produced every day on Heath presses. Every Heath Custom Press incorporates the patented Heath turret system, which permits the press operator to make ready the next job while the press is running.
