Press release from the issuing company
DANVERS, MA, June 28, 2004 – RISO, Inc., a worldwide leader in digital printing technology, today announced that its HC5000 Full Color Printer with FORCEJET technology will be introduced to the North American market this fall. The HC5000, which was unveiled in Japan in December 2003 and introduced to Europe this May at Drupa, represents a breakthrough in full color digital printing technology, providing customers, for the first time, with fast and affordable color printing for everyday communications, at speeds up to 105 pages per minute and at sizes up to 11”x17”.
“RISO’s HC5000 sets a new industry standard for speed, affordability and durability in full color printing. This exciting technology, which builds on our commitment to innovation and developing value-added products for the digital printing marketplace, delivers a total color printing solution in one easy-to-use unit,” said Robert Gregorowicz, Manager of Product Marketing, RISO, Inc.
The HC5000 harnesses two new proprietary technology platforms from RISO – FORCEJET and ComColor – to deliver vivid, sharp color in a fraction of a second, at the touch of a button. This technology provides productive, versatile, and cost saving benefits for a wide variety of customers with volumes as low as 15,000 copies per month.
The HC5000 is engineered to run monthly volumes as high as 250,000 per month and provides a quick return on investment, whether in a facilities management site, central reproduction department or as a departmental or office printer. The HC5000’s robust architecture also features a high-performance embedded controller with Adobe PostScript 3 compatibility, and scanning capabilities that complete the package. Pricing and detailed product specifications will be available at a later date.
