Oce appoints Hansen Director of Software and Professional Services

Press release from the issuing company

July 22, 2003 -- Oce (UK) Limited has appointed Kristen Busch-Hansen as Director of Software and Professional Services, representing a key step in its restructuring process. The 42-year old Busch-Hansen has almost 20 years experience in professional services consulting with Logica, Sema Group, and most recently PricewaterhouseCoopers, with whom he established and successfully ran a customer relationship management practice in the Middle East. Océ is pursuing a corporate restructuring strategy, which places greater emphasis on software, consultancy and services. This new appointment is a clear signal that Océ intends to invest heavily in this direction. In line with the restructuring, Busch-Hansen points out that Océ must continue an ongoing evolution in its work processes if the company is to retain its competitive edge, and his department has a vital role to play in that development. He said: “I will be bringing in a certain amount of rigour to our focus on delivering solutions to customers. That means delivering more complex products and thinking in new ways.” “Professional services are a very important catalyst for the move to team-based selling of a complex solution.” Having already met his new team, Busch-Hansen has been impressed with the quality of the talent at his disposal. “There is a remarkable amount of experience and knowledge amongst the people here. I’ve heard it said that Océ’s quality is one of the best-kept secrets around. Now it’s a matter of making this best-kept secret more widely known.” Half Danish and half English and brought up in Uganda, Busch Hansen started his professional career as a food scientist in the USA, before becoming a business consultant. He now lives in Suffolk with his wife and two children.
