United Roller Adds Printing Blankets And Cleaning Solutions To Product Line

Newbury, Ohio (July 14, 2003) - United Roller Company, LLC announced today that they had finalized a deal to become a distributor of printing blankets and cleaning solutions to better serve their customer base.
“Back in June we announced the addition of the SNY-TAC precision rollers, so the printing blankets and cleaning solutions was the next logical step for us,” said Richard Kekedy, Vice President of Operations of United Roller Company.
“We wanted to offer one-stop-shopping for the graphic arts market,” explains Marc Starrett, United’s VP of Marketing & Sales. “By adding the blanket and cleaning solution line, it lets the graphic arts market know that we heard what they were telling us and we went out and did
something about it.”
Since opening their doors in April 2002 United Roller has steadily grown their customer base, but it was mostly in the converting and metals industries. They had some business in the graphic art’s market, but it wasn’t the volume that they wanted. So in April of 2003 United hired three Technical Sales Representatives to canvass the entire state of Ohio.
“Potential customers kept asking my sales team if we sell blankets and cleaning solutions. After hearing this throughout the course of a month, I spent a day on the phone and internet researching the possibility of becoming a distributor,” said Starrett. “I then had a meeting with Rick Kekedy and our President, Steve Kekedy, Jr. and a decision was made to go forward.”
Rick Kekedy feels that the addition of the blankets and cleaning solutions will enable United Roller to fully service the graphic arts industry. “We are very confident that we are moving in the right direction and we will keep responding to our customers needs.”
