Press release from the issuing company
MENASHA, Wis., and LONGWOOD, Fla., July 8 -- Banta Corporation, a market leader in printing and supply-chain management, and WAVE Corporation, an engineering and software development company, today announced a strategic partnership to provide the most comprehensive range of content and asset management solutions in the industry.
The partnership will provide a complete range of software products that are critical to managing multi-channel publishing processes, including print, Internet and variable publishing channels.
WAVE has acquired the intellectual property and assumed the future product development and technical support for B-media, Banta's enterprise-class content management software platform. This new partnership enables Banta to continue marketing and selling B-media software, while assuring existing customers receive a high level of software support.
In addition, Banta will now offer its customers MediaBank, WAVE's world-class asset management application, as well as the company's other print-related software products. This combination of content management products will expand the offerings of both companies while providing customers with a complete bundle of solutions from a single source.
"Banta is committed to continuously improving the integrated global network of print-related products and services that we offer our customers," said Stephanie Streeter, president and chief executive officer of Banta Corporation. "After an extensive search, we selected WAVE as our partner to provide our customers with highly competitive content and asset management solutions that fit a broad spectrum of multi-channel needs."
"This is an exciting milestone for WAVE," notes Ward Wright, managing director of WAVE Corporation. "By entrusting WAVE with the future direction of B-media, Banta has yet again validated the quality of our talented and dedicated team. B-media's advanced content management features greatly extend the server-based productivity tools in our arsenal, thus allowing us to provide the most robust premedia solutions to the market."
