Paper cutter supplier Colter & Peterson expands, opens new corporate office

Press release from the issuing company

July 8, 2003 -- (PARAMUS, NEW JERSEY)--Colter & Peterson, Inc., one of the nation’s largest suppliers and servicers of paper cutters, is getting larger. The firm announces the opening of a new corporate office on July 7, 2003, as part of the company’s recent expansion and growth. “With our recent acquisitions and expansion”, explains Bruce Peterson President of Colter & Peterson, “we needed to expand our parts and technical support departments. This move allows us to grow while also providing us with a new demonstration and training facility.” The company’s new headquarters is the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) building on Century Road in Paramus, New Jersey. The new offices will house the company’s corporate staff as well as the sales and marketing departments. The relocation allows the company to expand its parts storage areas and provides the necessary space for the recently increased technical support staff. The move has as much to do with strategy as with size, explains Jeff Marr, Colter & Peterson’s Vice President of Sales. “The decision to move to NAPL’s building was easy,” he said. “We obtain the space we were looking for in a desirable location, with the added benefit of building our relationship with the NAPL organization. NAPL gets a tenant who is also a dedicated member of their organization. And customers can now visit both companies at once, to fulfill their printing and paper cutter needs.” As part of this move, Colter & Peterson will vacate their Pennsylvania warehouse. The equipment stored there will be moved to both the company’s Paterson, New Jersey facility and to new warehouse space the company has obtained in Iowa. The company will expand its Iowa-based Amatco division to offer an enhanced paper cutter rebuilding service. Colter & Peterson is the largest rebuilder of paper cutters second largest distributor of new paper cutters in the U.S. The company provides complete solutions for material handling from a variety of manufactures, as well as parts and service for all paper cutter brands.
