Press release from the issuing company
July 2, 2003 - Kehl, Germany- Dynagram, the only worldwide, independent provider of a wide range of digital imposition solutions, and Dalim Software, a leading supplier of workflow automation solutions, today announce that Dynagram's suite of standalone imposition solutions, DynaStrip, is certified and can be fully integrated with the DALiM TWiST and DALiM SWiNG flexible workflow automation solutions.
The industry’s most open, flexible and highest productivity digital workflow, DALiM TWiST, is an intelligent solution handling a wide range of complex production tasks automatically. Event-driven reactions can be triggered and determined by a variety of options such as file origin, naming conventions, or absence or presence of certain data such as text or images. DALiM SWiNG is a suite of workflow automation and management modules that allows users to streamline all pre-press and publishing production processes. It features a set of pre-defined workflows that frees up production time, improves schedules, reduces errors, and ensures consistent quality.
DynaStrip is a powerful suite of digital imposition solutions developed to meet an entire range of imposition needs, from complete imposition for generic, commercial printing to imposition for highly specialized printing (page pairing and versioning) to modular imposition solutions for integration into existing workflows or the creation of customized PDF workflows. DynaStrip is also the first imposition software to work with Macintosh OS X
DynaStrip is a natural complement to Dalim Software workflows, thanks to:
- OS Support: DynaStrip runs on OS X, OS X Classic, OS 9, WIN 95, 98, 2000, XP, NT4
- Comprehensive layout creation (digital light table)
- On-screen soft preview of EPS, DCS and PDF
- Full automation of source files using up to 200 hot folders and multiple output automation, including page pairing capabilities and automatic correction files
- High performance versioning using 200 document lists (run list) coupled with a version manager that can create up to 200 versions, allowing multiple changes of pages using the same basic job template
"The quality of imposed output results depends on the quality of the files the system receives. With DALiM TWiST we are confident that the page files delivered into Dynastrip are checked and standardized to a very high quality level," says André Valentine, Product Champion at Dynagram. "Once imposed with DynaStrip, the final result output to film or plate is very predictable from a wide range of RIPs."
"Our customers like to integrate with an imposition system when setting up a CTP workflow in order to deliver imposed files to the output RIP efficiently,” said Stéphane Georges, Product Manager,Dalim Software. "When DynaStrip is linked with DALiM TWiST, users benefit from a very powerful imposition automation solution".
