Press release from the issuing company
Toronto – June 13, 2007 – Agfa Graphics today announced the appointments of Stan Tranter as account manager for Quebec and Mario Michelini as national corporate account manager for Canada.
Tranter, who has been with Agfa for 13 years, will work closely with existing customers in the province to maintain ongoing relationships, pursue new accounts, and promote Agfa’s technological and market leadership throughout the territory. One of Tranter’s previous roles with the company was to train Agfa employees on various products and systems, which he did on a worldwide basis.
Michelini will work with corporate accounts to maintain, grow and strengthen Agfa's position. Among his responsibilities will be to conduct technology webinars and demonstrations at trade shows. Michelini spent 10 years at Litho Acme Montreal owned by Transcontinental as a prepress, plate room and pressroom manager, as well as several years with Perry Printing. Before joining Agfa he was a sales representative for Unisource where he worked mostly with Transcontinental and Quebecor.
“Stan and Mario come to us with many years of experience in graphic communications technology and management, both at Agfa and at some of the top printers in the Canadian marketplace,” said Jack Baraczek, director of Agfa Graphics, Canada. “We look forward to the benefits and new opportunities that their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm will bring to Agfa and our customers.”
