Printing Conference Presentation Highlights Advantages of Nordson EP 48 V Systems In Bookbinding Applications

Press release from the issuing company

DULUTH, Ga., June 13 -- Don Krietemeyer, chief executive officer of Finishing Line Bindery in Sanford, Florida will make a presentation on using polyurethane (PUR) adhesive in book binding at the 2007 Applied Technology Conference in Atlanta, Georgia at 3:20 P.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Mr. Krietemeyer will specifically address the benefits of using PUR instead of traditional hot melt adhesives for spine gluing. From a process standpoint, he will present the benefits of the Nordson Corporation EP 48 V bookbinding application system.

The EP 48 V system is a closed adhesive application system that provides controlled delivery of PUR adhesives. The production benefits of a closed system over traditional wheel systems include quicker startup, less adhesive waste and reduced cleaning. The EP 48 V system also provides application benefits including better wetting, higher pull values and improved lay-flat properties.

The Applied Technology Conference is sponsored by the Research & Educational Council of the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL). The Conference is being held June 20-22, 2007 at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
