Ames On-Demand Awarded Multi-Year Contract with Pearson Custom Publishing

SOMERVILLE, Mass.--June 23, 2003-- Ames On-Demand, leading provider of content management and digital custom printing solutions, has been awarded a long-term contract with Pearson Custom Publishing, a division of Pearson Education, the world's largest education company. Ames On-Demand has provided custom publishing services for more than six years to Pearson's leading brands, including Addison Wesley, Allyn & Bacon, Longman, Benjamin Cummings, and Prentice Hall. Under the new agreement, Ames On-Demand will continue to provide Pearson with: -- Short-run digital book manufacturing, kitting, and fulfillment, and -- Custom publishing technology services augmented by BookBuild, the company's proprietary Web-based content repository that simplifies the process of selecting, ordering, manufacturing, and distributing customized published materials. Ames On-Demand's BookBuild solution gives Pearson a fully integrated content management and digital print solution that allows educators to build custom course materials relevant to their particular curricula.
