New Leaders Appointed to Web Offset Association Board

Alexandria, Va., June 17, 2003 — The Web Offset Association (WOA), a special industry group of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation and Printing Industries of America, announces the appointment of its 2003–2004 officers for the Board of Directors and the Supplier Advisory Board. The officers assumed their positions at the beginning of the WOA Conference’s final day, Wednesday, May 7, 2003. Michael Keene, president and CEO of The John Roberts Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, becomes the 33rd president of the board of directors. Serving as vice president is Edward Majerczak, president of Berlin Industries in Carol Stream, Illinois; secretary/treasurer is Ralph Pontillo, vice president and general manager of Transcontinental Printing, Inc. in Fairborn, Ohio; and immediate past president is Thomas Quadracci, president and CEO of Quad/Graphics, Inc. in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. New directors to the board include Chris Pierce, president of Dingley Press, Inc. in Lisbon, Maine, and Art Salayda, president of Evergreen Printing and Publishing in Bellmawr, New Jersey. George Newkirk, sales manager, Americas for MEGTEC Systems in DePere, Wisconsin, will serve as the chairman of the Supplier Advisory Board. Mike Neroni, vice president of marketing for DAY International, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, will serve as vice chairman. New directors to the Supplier Advisory Board include Filip Buyse; Robert Carmosino, director of strategic accounts for Creo Americas in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Joseph Demharter, president and CEO of Pitman Company in Totowa, New Jersey; Randy Ellington, vice president for North America for Bowater America, Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina; Robert Schmidt, vice president for US Ink, A Sun Chemical Corporation in Bluffton, South Carolina; and Richard Sutis, president for Goss International Corporation in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
