Press release from the issuing company
June 17, 2003 -- KANZAN Spezialpapiere GmbH is the leading European specialist for the production of thermal and inkjet paper innovations - with incredible potential in the labeling sector.
Founded in 1990, KANZAN started producing thermal paper in October 1991 in Dueren, Germany – and in 1996 inkjet paper production was added. Oji Paper Ltd - the largest paper manufacturer in Japan – is the major shareholder, with 90% of shares.
With a highly developed product range, KANZAN can fully meet the current and future demands of the label, ticket and tag markets. KANZAN’s thermal technology can be used in a number of ways, for example self-adhesive labels, bank statements, tickets & tags, lottery & gambling. The company's particular strength centres on its commitment to the development of customer-specific, individual solutions, backed by extensive technical knowledge.
At Labelexpo Europe 2003, the tenth biennial international labels and product decoration event, KANZAN is delighted to be showing a number of various products, including:
• highly opaque label products (KLS 46sBO) - used to label over tag details no longer valid
• coloured thermal papers: two-coloured red-black thermal printouts (KLRB 46B) or single-coloured versions for red (KLM) or blue (KLC) printouts
• an infrared readable ticket (KLIR) starting at 70 g/m2 for entrance control systems which guarantees a higher security level than standard ticket grades
• super heavy weight grade (KLT 423mB) with up to 270 µm thickness, stamp capable with the option to add a magnetic stripe on the reverse side
Andreas Loehr, General Manager Sales & Marketing, KANZAN Spezialpapiere GmbH, said, "Labelexpo Europe 2003 is a personal highlight for me as a newcomer in this line of business. I will not only have the unique opportunity to experience the power of innovation in the industry, but also to meet the majority of our worldwide customers."
