Optipress CEO resigns

June 11 - The Board of Directors of Optipress Inc. wishes to announce the resignation on terms yet to be finalized, effective immediately, of Derek F. Hiscock as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Hiscock is leaving to pursue other interests. Dr. Kenneth L. Ozmon, Chair of the Board, has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer and Daniel Murphy, currently Vice-President, Printing and President, Print Atlantic has been appointed interim Chief Operating Officer. Established in July 2002, Optipress Inc. began as the combination of the printing and publishing assets of Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited and Cameron Publications Limited and completed its first fiscal period on March 31, 2003. Optipress is the largest commercial printing company and community newspaper publisher in Atlantic Canada. The company's commercial printing production facilities and community newspapers provide service to customers throughout North America.
