Apago ships new PDFshrink version

Alpharetta, GA (June 6, 2003) — Today, Apago, Inc. announced immediate shipment of PDFshrink version 3.0, an upgrade to its popular PDF optimization utility for the Mac OS X operating system. Key new features in version 3.0 are additional resolution choices, support forencrypted PDF files and built-in support for PDF Services. A leading provider of PDF optimization and workflow tools, Apago has combined the Lite and Full editions of PDFshrink in version 3.0. PDFshrink 3.0 is priced at $35 like the former PDFshrink Lite but includes multiple configuration and resolution choices formerly found only on the more expensive PDFshrink. “This new release of PDFshrink adds some powerful new capabilties to our most popular product", said Dwight Kelly, President of Apago. "PDFshrink 3.0 retains the simplicity of PDFshrink Lite and adds powerful new features including saved settings, selectable image resolutions and compressions, support for AppleScript and PDF Services and the ability to process encrypted PDF files. PDFshrink continues to best the competition at a very affordable $35 price point.” Existing customers with registered copies of PDFshrink or PDFshrink Lite recieve a free upgrade to PDFshrink 3.0. In addition, PDFshrink owners will also receive a discount price of $25 to upgrade the more powerful PDF Enhancer software. This upgrade normally sells for $54. PDFshrink 3.0 adds new compression techniques, resolution choices of “no change, 72, 96, 150, 200, 300dpi,” support for processing encrypted PDF files, ability to save unlimited configurations, built-in support for PDF Services and Applescript.
