WAM!NET To Sponsor AAF ADDY Awards

LOS ANGELES– June 4, 2003 (Ad Expo Booth #231) –WAMNET, a global provider of shared content management and distribution services today announced its participation at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) National Conference and Ad Expo 2003 to be held June 4 – 7, 2003 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. WAM!NET will sponsor this year’s ADDY Awards, which will be presented as the AAF National Conference finale. The ADDY Awards represent the nation’s largest and most representative creative advertising competition with 60,000 entries, and has been expanded this year to include international nominations. WAM!NET has also partnered with the AAF to provide access to the winning advertisements via a customized portal to WAM!BASE, its content archiving service. From the web and multiple kiosks at the conference, participants can browse the ADDY Awards National Winners Gallery based on award category, division, agency, client, title and credits to locate and review the entries. Users can view the video clips, print ads and campaigns, and listen to the audio spots. The ad content will be available through a custom web-based portal accessible directly from the AAF web site at www.aaf.org. “A key benefit of this solution is that WAM!BASE stores all the content in high resolution format, and automatically makes it available in a variety of low resolution formats for easy access via the Internet,” said Cindy Bergevin, vice president of global marketing for WAM!NET. “Many of the largest ad agencies and creative services firms already use our content management and distribution services, and we are pleased to make this solution available to the AAF for the National Conference and Ad Expo. GTN is transcoding media clips into digital format and loading all the ad content into WAM!BASE, associating the necessary keywords and metadata with each file.
