Transcontinental Appoints Roberto Bucker As Head Of Mexican Operations

Montreal, June 4, 2003 - Transcontinental today announced the appointment of Roberto Bücker to the position of Vice-President and General Manager of Impresora Transcontinental de México, S.A. de C.V. Of Latin American origin and with a wealth of international management experience, Mr. Bücker will be responsible for managing and developing Transcontinental’s Mexican operations. With a plant in Toluca, just outside Mexico City, and two plants in Mexico City, Impresora Transcontinental de México boasts a network printing facilities that generates annual revenues of over $100 million, making it one of the largest commercial printers in Mexico. In total, the company employs over 1000 people in Mexico. “Mr. Bücker brings a great deal of international operations and marketing management experience acquired working in both North and South America,” said Serge Bragdon, President of Transcontinental Printing – Information Products. “Mr. Bücker’s experience and expertise make him an ideal candidate for taking on the challenges of developing Transcontinental’s operations in Mexico, a market with strong growth potential. On behalf of all Transcontinental managers and employees, I wish Mr. Bücker every success in his new duties.” Roberto Bücker joins Transcontinental following close to 16 successful years in various management positions at DuPont. He was most recently Director of Global Business Development for DuPont Asset Effectiveness Consulting. Previous to that he was Business Manager for North America at Dupont TYVEK Envelopes and Consumer Packaging. These were preceded by various operations, marketing and sales management positions at a number of different DuPont divisions in South and North America. Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Mr. Bücker has a degree in Chemical Production Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos in Brazil. Mr. Bücker will be replacing Mr. Roger Bélair, who will be leaving at the end of July after having completed his five-year mandate. Mr. Bücker has already been working closely with Mr. Bélair for over four months in order to ensure a smooth transition.
