Walton Press installs QuadTech Equipment

Press release from the issuing company

July 20, 2007 -- Newspaper and commercial printers: Walton Press Inc., based in Monroe, Georgia, USA, invested $137,000 on brand new QuadTech Products which were installed in March 2007. Three months on it is on course to accomplishing its targets set for faster customer turnarounds, reduced costs and operating at a more productive level as a result of these investments.
Walton Press Inc., added the QuadTech Color Control System on ICON and QuadTech® Register Guidance System with MultiCam to its DGM presses with the intention of producing first rate color, continually improving performance and co-ordinating all systems through the ICON integrated platform for easier user control, reducing staff training cycles.
Ronnie Butler, Pressroom manager at Walton Press commented “We originally introduced the QuadTech® PPC3000X and QuadTech RGS SERIES X in 2003, so we already knew and trusted QuadTech. With the new equipment in place, the whole printing process is now fully automated and easy to operate through the intuitive ICON user interface.”
“We’ve already begun to see the potential results that the equipment can bring. QuadTech’s equipment is easy to maintain.  The cameras need minimal maintenance.  We’re reducing waste and are seeing tremendous growth. Thanks in equal parts to the QuadTech products and the presses.  Since 2003, we have seen our turnover grow by up to 175% and can expect to see this trend continuing.”
Walton Press is a full service print house with services ranging from consultation and pre-press through printing and finishing. With over a century of experience of developing its products and evolving through trial and error, the company continually seeks out new ways of improving its customer service and believes that a significant aspect of achieving this is by investing in the most cutting edge technology available.
“These systems have got us where we are today.  In fact, you take them for granted because they do such a good job.  It is as though they just run themselves. By the end of this year, our aim is to add four more DGM units all with QuadTech Color Control systems on ICON, QuadTech Register Guidance Systems with MultiCam and cut-off controls. In fact, we are even considering adding MultiCam’s to our older presses” Ronnie added.
