EFI To Expand PrintMe Service To Hundreds of U.S. Hotels Nationwide

Press release from the issuing company

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - May 20, 2003 - Marriott International, Inc. Electronics For Imaging and STSN, Inc. announced today that a rapid rollout will begin immediately to provide PrintMe(tm) service to over 400 high-speed Internet access (HSIA)-enabled Marriott hotels nationwide, essentially establishing PrintMe as the standard for mobile printing in the hospitality industry. Dozens of HSIA-enabled Marriott properties are already using PrintMe through STSN's high-speed Internet access service. PrintMe, developed by EFI, enables wireless devices and laptops to send documents to printers without requiring special cables, drivers, or IT support. With PrintMe, hotel guests can quickly and easily print documents from their hotel room using the hotel's high-speed Internet access system. "Marriott takes pride in providing our business customers with industry-leading services that allow them to work as efficiently on the road as they do at their own desk," said Lou Paladeau, Marriott vice president of technology business development. "PrintMe helps by making document printing as easy as logging on to our high speed Internet system in the privacy of their guest room." "We are excited to join with Marriott and STSN in rolling out our breakthrough PrintMe technology at nearly 400 hotels, making PrintMe the hospitality industry standard for mobile printing," said Ofer Tenenbaum, General Manager of EFI's PrintMe division. "With hundreds of Marriott locations offering PrintMe, business guests nationwide will be able to print needed documents anytime and anywhere, without worrying about printer drivers or cables." "STSN has witnessed amazing growth in buy rates for our high-speed Internet access service," said Dave Garrison, CEO of STSN. "We can see that a growing number of business travelers expect and use office-like solutions in their hotel room. The addition of EFI's PrintMe functionality to STSN's services is evidence of Marriott's responsiveness to the growing needs of business travelers." Today's announcement follows months of successful PrintMe installations at Marriott hotels in major cities. Marriott leads the hotel industry in offering guests high-speed Internet access with more than 650 hotels online. To use the PrintMe service at Marriott Hotels, guests simply log on to the Internet from their rooms, click on the PrintMe link, and upload their documents. Documents can be delivered to guest rooms, or, for total confidentiality, can be held for printing until the guest personally retrieves it using a secure DocID number.
